The launch was supposed to take place at the Navy's Clube Naval, but the military themselves canceled the event. The hall had been paid for in advance. The book has articles by the president of the TSE and minister of the STF Alexandre de Moraes ; retired STF minister Marco Aurélio ; and the ministers of the Superior Court of Justice Antonio Carlos Ferreira , Benedito Gonçalves , Luís Felipe Salomão , Paulo Dias de Moura Ribeiro and Ricardo Villas Bôas Cueva , as well as lawyers, magistrates and teachers.
In the presentation of the book, Navy Admiral Ilques Barbosa Junior states that the circumnavigation "contributed to altering the course of history" and brought several consequences for humanity. Among them, the "emergence of new knowledge, overcoming medieval myths, greater awareness of cultural diversity and, unquestionably, expansion of trade routes in the 16th century".
"Remembering this achievement is a way of demonstrating to the current and future generations that the great disruptive events of civilization impose the predominance of the common good, sacrifices, courage, ingenuity and high leadership capacity", says the military officer.
